The Yabarana are a small group near the Paracito River in Venezuela. In the eighteenth century, their population dwindled due to poor conditions as rubber tappers.
The Yabarana are a highly endangered people group. Because of this, little is known regarding their current culture.
The Warao have priests, temples, and idols and worship a supreme creator god. Like that of other indigenous people in the region, their social culture is kinship-based and includes puberty rites, death rituals, and shamanistic cures.
Health needs and economic stress affect the lives and livelihoods of the Warao people of Venezuela. Additionally, land devastation and threats to natural resources prompt displacement from their homeland.

Ask the Lord to send workers to the Yabarna, showing them the way to love and obey the Lord.
Pray they would be given a spiritual hunger and discernment, as well as protection from spiritual counterfeits and false doctrines.
Pray for the Lord to thrust out many to disciple them in Christ's ways and for them to disciple others.
