The Parintintin are an indigenous people who live in the state of Amazonas in Brazil. They are part of the Tupi-Guarani linguistic family. Their history includes periods of violent contact and resistance during the twentieth century, followed by increasing interaction with Brazilian society.
Parintintin communities are located near rivers and forest areas. Hunting, fishing, and farming are important for daily survival. Social life centers on the village, extended family, and shared cultural practices. Contact with outside society has brought both resources and new challenges.
Traditional Parintintin shamanic beliefs involves spirits, ancestral narratives, and rituals connected to nature.
The Parintintin have physical needs related to health care, education, and territorial protection.
Pray that the pure and simple gospel will reach them and that they will fall in love with the only Savior.
Pray for open hearts that are hungry and thirsty for God.
Cry out for bold and willing Christians to help not only with health and education, but also to disciple them.
