The Welsh are a people of Celtic origin having many unique cultural practices, including the carving of 'love spoons' and the playing of the Celtic harp. They are very fond of their national sport -- Rugby football.
Most live in Wales, UK. with a small diaspora in Patagonia, Argentina and other countries.
The lives of the Welsh are generally more impoverished than those of their English cousins. However, a strong national identity prevents them from slipping into destitution.
Once a proud Evangelical nation, the Cymraeg Welsh have in recent times lost their faith to the wave of commercialism that has overtaken many Western countries.
The Cymraeg Welsh need a greater spiritual hunger and a willingness to obey the Lord's direction.
Pray for revival in the hearts of the Welsh people in the U.K.
Pray for the Cymraeg Welsh families and churches to be overwhelmed by the work of the Holy Spirit, leading them to repentance and holiness.
Pray that soon Cymraeg Welsh people will be taking Christ to the Muslims and Hindus of the U.K.
