Introduction / History

Their language at church and school is generally Indonesian but Ndao is still used at home.

What Are Their Lives Like?

They live by gardening, hunting, and fishing in the coastal swamps. With their land at an altitude of less than 100 meters above sea level, the Ndom people can best be accessed by boat.
Most of the Ndom people wear modern clothing. The people eat yams, sugarcane, bananas, yams, and coconuts. The Ndom people use machetes, bows, and arrows. A road has been started in the area.

What Are Their Beliefs?

There is a Catholic church in Wetau, and nearly three-fourths of the Ndoms identify as Christians.

What Are Their Needs?

In Wetau, there are neither health facilities nor health workers. The Ndom people have no gospel films or videos in their language.

Prayer Points

Pray for oral gospel materials in the Ndom language.
Pray for revival fire to consume those who attend the Catholic church.
Pray that soon Ndom workers will take Christ to other parts of Indonesia.
Pray for Ndom Christians to grow in faith in Christ.
